C.R. ʻImipono Wichman

Project Manager

At PBR HAWAII, Mr. Wichman uses the latest graphics and drafting software such as Adobe Photoshop, Computer Aided Drafting Design (AutoCAD), LandF/X, MicroStation to support the landscape architectural and planning team. He is skillful at using the latest 3-D design applications to visualize planting designs and outdoor spaces, aiding the client, the design team, and the public in understanding the project. With a wide range of skill sets, he also coordinates and manages the production of construction documents and provides site inspections for numerous projects.

Born and raised on the island of Kauaʻi, Mr. Wichman aspires to design landscapes that instill a sense of place through cultural and environmental sensitivity. He combines his broad knowledge of native Hawaiian plants, with experience in planting, irrigation, and hardscape design. He is currently assisting with landscape renovation projects for One Hotel Hanalei Bay, Wailuku Civic Complex, Central Pacific Bank, Thomas Square Park Master Plan and Renovations, Sand Island Wastewater Treatment Plant, Solomon Elementary School, the Colony at the Peninsula Hawai‘i Kai, and Palailai Mall.

Prior projects Mr. Wichman worked on include the Castle Junction Hillside Improvements, the Farrington Highway and West O‘ahu Honolulu Rail Stations, the School of Pharmacy at University of Hawai‘i, Hilo, The Four Seasons Resort O‘ahu at Ko Olina, and renovations to Ala Wai Golf Course. He also contributed significant landscape architectural efforts towards the Leeward Community College Educational and Innovation Instructional Facility project, which received the 2016 Implementation Award in from the Hawaiʻi Chapter of the American Planning Association.
