Graphic Designer
PBR
HAWAII & Associates, Inc., a multi-disciplinary planning and landscape
architecture firm, is seeking a full-time graphic designer (of between 1 to 2 years
of experience) for our Honolulu office.
Required
qualifications include:
- An
undergraduate degree or higher in graphic design or related field;
- Strong
organizational and graphic communication skills, including a thorough
understanding of graphic processes, styles, and design;
- Ability
to maintain brand consistency across various marketing tasks;
- Focused
attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and meeting deadlines;
- Ability
to oversee entire project design process, from conception to completion;
- Initiative
and drive to stay current with industry advancements;
- Competency
in Adobe Creative Suite (esp. Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), website
design tools (WordPress, Squarespace, Weebly); Microsoft Office, social media strategy;
and various marketing endeavors; and
- Employee
conduct and behavior necessary in maintaining a productive and positive work
environment.
Additional desirable qualifications include:
- Knowledge of digital photography, composition and lighting;
- Ability to work closely with the Project Managers to create accurate price estimates and breakdowns while delivering solutions within budget;
- Communicate and facilitate the art direction and formatting of design deliverables and produce necessary communications pieces in both print and digital environments for a wide range of clients;
- Collaborate internally as well as with clients to conceptualize and execute creative solutions that can be translated across various media platforms;
- Ability to read and interpret plans; and
- Familiarity with preparing culturally-appropriate graphic representation and theming, particularly related to the State of Hawai‘i.
PBR HAWAII & Associates, Inc. is a locally
owned Hawai‘i-based company. We engage in public and private sector projects of
varying scales and complexity. The position entails collaboration with planners
and landscape architects in our office, working with outside technical
consultants, and interfacing with clients and governmental agencies.
Salary is commensurate with the requirements of
