Lanikuhonua Hawaiian Cultural Heritage Institute

PBR HAWAII prepared a master plan for the 10-acre Lanikuhonua Cultural Institute, a proposed non-profit Educational and Research Institute devoted to the preservation and promotion of the Hawaiian Culture. The site was historically used by Hawaiian royalty, and more recently, the family of James and Abigail Campbell.

The master plan included goals and objectives, phasing, management recommendations, and detailed cost estimates.  Site improvements included site grading, relocation of trees and palms, restoration of Auntie Alice’s and Kimo’s Lanai, construction of expansive lawn areas for entertainment, two grassed hula mounds, restroom facilities, pedestrian walkways, site and stage lighting, parking improvements, native Hawaiian landscape plantings, and automatic irrigation system.
