Case Middle School at Punahou School

PBR HAWAII served as the project landscape architect for the Case Middle School complex at Punahou School on O‘ahu. The complex includes nine classroom buildings that serve grades six through eight. PBR HAWAII’s landscape design incorporated the use of several native Hawaiian trees, palms, shrubs, and groundcovers in a variety of courtyard settings. Additionally, the project utilizes recycled rain catchments and overflow lily pond water as its sole source of irrigation water. The Case Middle School obtained a LEED Gold certification and is Punahou’s first LEED certified complex of classroom buildings.
