Edible Landscape Plan for Latter Day Saints Meetinghouse – Hakimo Road, Nānākuli

PBR HAWAII prepared and processed a zone change application to change the zoning of the site from the AG-1 District to the AG-2 District in January 2014. The City Council approved the change in October 2014. PBR HAWAII also prepared an edible landscape plan for the project. The Plan offers an innovative alternative to traditional landscaping by using attractive and edible plants. The Plan aims to provide members of the Church better access to healthy food and revitalize traditional diets, practices and values that have sustained early Polynesian communities for centuries.
