PBR HAWAII completed a HRS Chapter 343 Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for: 1) the proposed redevelopment of the Hawai‘i Public Housing Authority (HPHA)’s administrative offices; and 2) mixed-use development of affordable senior rental housing units and ancillary commercial uses, on a six-acre portion of the state-owned land parcel which currently houses HPHA’s existing administrative campus in Kapālama, Honolulu.
PBR HAWAII’s services included: 1) preparing and processing an Environmental Impact Statement Preparation Notice (EISPN); 2) responding to public and agency comments; 3) coordinating technical sub-consultant studies; 4) consulting with key agency representatives; 5) conducting an EIS Public Scoping Meeting; 6) assisting with community meetings in support of the master planning effort; and 7) drafting, revising, and processing the EIS. In addition to the EIS, PBR HAWAII is also providing planning consulting services for community outreach and engagement for the project.
