PBR HAWAII provided design consultant coordination for the preparation of construction plans for ADA accessible raised boardwalks with five viewing platforms and interpretive/educational media displays within the 26-acre Keahuolū Historic Preserve, an Ancient Hawaiian archaeological preserve in Kailua-Kona, Hawai‘i. PBR HAWAII also prepared a conceptual landscape site plan incorporating native and adaptive plant materials. The plan includes walking trail layouts, rest areas and designated interpretive and educational sites. The project further includes: 1) a 1,500 sf Interpretive Center; and 2) sustainable design features and technologies.
