King William Charles Lunalilo Tomb

PBR HAWAII served as landscape architect for the King William Charles Lunalilo Tomb restoration project, working closely with the Director of Lunalilo Homes, Kuhio Asam and Historic Architect, Glenn Mason.

The work included a site assessment of the existing grounds, preparation of an overall landscape master plan, and final landscape construction documents. Landscape renovations included removal of non-native plantings, tree pruning, palm relocation, and specification of several appropriate native Hawaiian shrubs and groundcovers surrounding Lunalilo’s tomb and entry courtyard water feature.
