PBR HAWAII developed a master plan to beautify and unify the Līhu‘e Civic Center. The draft master plan was based on input from community members, neighboring businesses, State and County staff, and the County Council. The plans also include a new roundabout to facilitate traffic in and around the area and possible closure of ʻEiwa Street to unify the facilities and make it a safe walkable campus. To help the audience at a public meeting visualize the draft master plan, SketchUP 3-dimensional (3-D) modeling software was used to show how existing conditions would change based on the proposed improvements. PBR HAWAII also prepared an environmental assessment for the project.
