PBR HAWAII prepared and successfully processed an application for obtaining Chapter 201G (currently Chapter 201H) Hawai‘i Revised Statues (HRS) exemptions for Plantation Town Apartments, a 100 percent affordable multi-family complex in Waipahu, O‘ahu. Plantation Town Apartments was completed in 2008 and includes 330 affordable fee-simple units in two 12-story buildings.
As part of preparing the application, PBR HAWAII identified all exemptions required for the project, completed all required documentation, and worked with the developer to successfully obtain approval from the City & County of Honolulu Council. PBR HAWAII also worked carefully with the State of Hawai‘i, Hawai‘i Housing Finance & Development Corporation to ensure that the application met all requirements and that the developer was in compliance with all rules to obtain project financing and to make certain that strict sales stipulations were met.
