Landscape Designer
Ellie Rochman joined PBR HAWAII in 2025 and currently assists the landscape architectural team with her fluency in programs such as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD and Land/FX amongst others. She enjoys the iterative process of design and is inspired by the challenges that accompany a project’s changeability.
Ms. Rochman received her bachelor’s degree in art history, for which her honor’s project focused on mapping community narratives across her college campus landscape. This sparked an interest in landscape architecture and she went on to receive an MLA from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design. Her master’s thesis designed maintenance practices based on historical land uses of a site local to where she grew up in western Massachusetts.
After her graduate studies, Ellie lived in San Francisco for five years where she practiced at a range of scales from high-end residential to commercial landscape architecture. She also volunteered at the California Academy of Sciences as a horticultural assistant, helping to maintain the tropical flora of Osher Rainforest.
Ellie continues to find fulfillment in the pursuit of designing outdoor spaces where people can gather, reflect and connect with the natural environment.
